What our funded filmmakers had to say?
"Team Alpha & Omega are extremely grateful to the Genera Film Fund and team for their support. The team was always available and willing to answer questions during the submissions stage and the process has been so smooth and straight forward; unlike any other film fund out there. I would encourage all film-makers to apply regardless of experience or background, with Genera there's always a chance of success!" - Nathan Adabadze (Alpha & Omega)
“Film funding made simple” is an understatement. The rolling deadlines mean there’s no time wasted. There’s a quick turnaround and winners were selected when the application process was still fresh in mind (a big difference from traditional funding bodies). Genera has truly discovered and put into action a modern film financing mechanism to suit the needs of contemporary filmmakers. - Ethan Race (Bitter Taste)
"It's no exaggeration to say that the Genera Film fund process was one of the best and most encouraging experiences I've ever had. As an independent filmmaker, we all know how difficult it is to finance our films, but Genera Films made this process simple and easier than ever. They were always on hand to answer any questions about the process and really took the time to help guide me through it. Their pursuit of quality and fostering talent was what compelled me to apply, and I'm thankful I did. A few steps later they made my dream a reality, providing significant funds to help get my short film, Flight of the Dodo, off the ground. Genera Films stands above so many other funding options due to the fact that, above all else, they deeply care about story number one. They really want to make a difference. For me they truly have." - Taras Groves (Flight Of The Dodo)
"I am delighted to be chosen for funding for my first short film 'Pretty', the grant will help greatly with the production costs - thank you Genera!" - Lucinda Sinclair (Pretty)
"Halflife Films is thrilled to be working with Genera, who are helping to bring Matt Harlock & Krent Able’s exciting new supernatural horror film squirming to life.” - Matt Harlock (Deep Clean)
