TELEGRAM SHORT FILM FUND

How it works

1. When our group reaches 400 members, we’ll open our £250 Telegram Short Film Fund.

2. Answer our poll to tell us if you’d use the cash for an upcoming production or for festival submission fees.

3. We’ll invite 3 responding filmmakers at random from each category to send us a video pitch about their project. (45-seconds max)

4. 48 hours later we’ll post the video pitches in the group for all members to see.

5. We’ll then open a poll for 72 hours to decide the project that wins the fund.

Why Genera Films?

  • Receive the funding you need.
  • One-off submission fee.
  • We take no creative control.
  • Straightforward and simple application.

“Film funding made simple” is an understatement. The rolling deadlines mean there’s no time wasted. There’s a quick turnaround and winners were selected when the application process was still fresh in mind (a big difference from traditional funding bodies). Genera has truly discovered and put into action a modern film financing mechanism to suit the needs of contemporary filmmakers. - Ethan Race (Bitter Taste)
